Flying a car from outside

Earlier I'm having a dream, and I'm not sure if I'm drugged up ... I realize something is wrong, like I'm very fatigued, and I think I just need to make it through this turn and then I'm home free.

Next thing I know, instead of looking at the driving from inside the car, I'm outside the car, way above it, realizing I'm still driving it (physically), and I think "Okay, I still have to make it through this turn", even though my perspective has changed. So I try to make it through the turn, and end up in a five- or six-car crash.
