A friend of mine gave me a copy of a book titled "The Reincarnationist" by M.J. Rose, and at the beginning of the book there is this quote from Carl Jung:
I simply believe that some part of the human self or soul is not subject to the laws of space and time.
That's a wonderful quote that I would like to adjust just slightly:
I simply believe that some part of the human self or soul is not subject to the laws of space and time as we know them today.
I add that because these "laws" are really only laws as we understand the world today. For instance, everyone believed in Newton's concept of gravity, until Einstein came around and improved on it. Some day someone will come along and improve on Einstein's work, and so on, so one day the "laws" as we know them will have been shown to be a great working theories with the tools we have at our disposal today.
As for the book, the first chapter pretty much describes what I go through at least a few times a year, so I'm anxious to read more and see where it goes.

I'd be interested in your review of said book! I like your amendment:) Carl Jung would approve:) (at least I think he would...)
Assuming you haven't read the book, I don't want to say too much. I will say that her description of past life experiences -- and the memories and emotions you retain from those experiences -- is very good. They really are like living an entirely different life from "this life", and she captures that very well.
Hmm, I can't think of anything else to add without giving things away, so I'll leave it at that. I guess I can say that I read the whole book in three sittings, and it kept moving very well, with just a few exceptions that I skimmed over.
