Going to sleep here, waking up in Illinois
Even though I did nothing intentionally to generate any "special effects" last night, they came again in bunches. Three times I closed my eyes and tried to fall asleep, and as I "fell asleep" here, I woke up in a bed in Illinois where I grew up.
At this time (the following morning) I don't remember the first event, other than I recall it happening. Actually, it ended up with me being on a baseball field, and I recall my uniform number being 45, which I thought was weird. A few friends from the high school baseball days were there also.
A recurring nightmare of evil
A few nights ago, Sunday night, I think, I had a recurring nightmare. I've had this dream/nightmare for as long as I can recall, certainly at least for the last 15-20 years. In short, I walk into a room in a home, try to turn on a light switch, and the lights fail to work. I flip the switch up and down, it doesn't work, and then a feeling of dread comes over me, and I know something bad is going to happen, or that there's some form of evil around me.
Dream follows real-world event by 30 hours
Last night I had another incident where a dream followed something back here in the physical world by the 24-48 hour time window I've mentioned here before. (Actually, earlier I wrote that dreams follow physical world events by 36-48 hours.) Thursday night, probably around 9pm, I watched an episode of Fringe that involved both small and large worms, and then last night (Friday night to Saturday morning) I had a dream involving worms.
Recurring dream of being a policeman; self-hypnosis to remember details
While yesterday morning's dreams seemed to be strictly about sex with a married woman, this morning's dream was a much more interesting recurring dream. So interesting, in fact, that after I woke up, I put on a put of coffee, and then laid down and tried some self-hypnosis to recall more dream details.
A dream sequence, starting with a vacation
A long series of very real dreams this morning, with several recurring components, as usual.
In the beginning of the dream I am in a bedroom somewhere, and it seems like a vacation that I'm on with other people. ("Vacation" might not be the right word, but a "trip" taken with other people.) I'm laying in bed, in the morning, and a man and a woman in the same room start making out, and I know they will soon be having sex here. (I knew the people, we had just been on this trip together, I just can't remember who they are now that I'm awake.)
Recurring dream of a new job, and complete silence
Two quick notes this morning. First, I've been having a recurring dream of starting a new job. The building I work in seems to be three stories tall, and I have a desk outside the office of the man who seems to run everything. During the first few dreams there was nothing for me to do, but this morning he walked out and asked if I was ready to get started. I don't know him, but I do know a couple of women in the office from my own previous jobs, including Pam and Michelle.
Meditating again, and a recurring funeral dream
Over the last few days I've finally been getting back to meditating every night before going to sleep, and as far as dreams and lucid dreams go, this effort has been very helpful. Last night was another long night of very vibrant dreams. I won't say they were lucid, but I was able to make some decisions in the dreams, trying to explore the holodeck so to speak, and try to understand what was happening.
Just a few quick notes about the dreams:
Recurring dream of Greeks and an ocean restaurant
Nothing major last night, just a recurring dream of two Greeks I know that wanted me to look at some oceanfront property for a restaurant. The property is unusual in that it is something like a concrete structure that juts out into the water. I had the impression it was something the government made, and then abandoned.
Three OBEs after moving my bed
Wow, absolutely horrifying dreams one night, followed by three OBEs this night. I'll take the OBEs any night, especially the way these worked out.
How they started
I went to be around 11:30 p.m., lightning storms started in the area around 3 a.m.. I walked around unplugging all my electronic equipment (even with surge protectors, I'm neurotic about this), and took a brief bio-break. With the lightning getting a little more intense, I grabbed a few pillows and went to sleep in a different area of the apartment.
