Ghost dog
The word "unusual" probably has a different meaning for me than most people. At this point I've had more than 100 or 200 out of body experiences (OBEs), I've seen an orb with my own eyes, and had precognitive experiences that are hard to explain away. So "unusual" is a very relative term.
But last night I experienced something that was very unusual, even for me.
Planes being shot down, precognition
For most of last night I considered the evening to be a severe disappointment. The setup yesterday was so perfect, I thought for sure I'd have one or more OBEs.
Yesterday morning at 11am I was sure I was about to have an OBE, except for the minor detail that I was driving a car, so I had to force myself to stay focused to make sure that didn't happen. (Usually before I have an OBE I know I'm going to have one, and that's what this feeling was.)
Three visits from a dog
After spending a few hours in the mountains yesterday, including at least an hour meditating, I could feel that something would happen last night. It's that special feeling of "not being grounded" where you know that you'll probably have an OBE. Little did I expect a visit from a dog.
But after laying in bed and slowly falling asleep, the magical "whatever it is that happens", happened, and I soon found a dog standing next to my bed, just looking at me. I think it was a gray Siberian Husky, so I thought maybe it was my old dog Rocky, but the truth is, I have no idea who/what it was.
Telepathy and coincidence
Here's a story for you:
Let's say that I tell you that on the same night I had an OBE at my old house (the house my wife and I lived at), I also saw one of my dogs have something like a seizure. He was flailing around uncontrollably, and dying, and no matter how hard I tried, there was nothing I could do to save him.
Then let's say that some time later, that same dog actually did have an incident like this. It was apparently a stroke, not a seizure, but it went just like I saw it, and it did end up killing him.
Dreams of a song, being drilled in the head, and a dog named Luther
I was a little sick yesterday, and also felt very "ungrounded" as they would say at TMI, more 'there' than 'here'. If you've never felt ungrounded, common descriptions include feeling "out of it", inability to concentrate, a feeling that you can't wake up, and very likely a desire to vomit. I had all of those yesterday, so I figured last night would be pretty entertaining.
Sucking sounds, levitating, and PK dreams
Slept on one of the large pillows on the living-room floor last night -- trying to keep my head propped up so it would hurt less -- then moved to the futon when it seemed like my head might explode anyway. As soon as I hit the futon the "sucking" sounds started, like I was being sucked into the dream state or another dimension, while unable to fall asleep immediately.
A short OOBE before Halloween
It's been a rough week, with one of my dogs (Zeus) having a bout of "acute pancreatitis" this week. On Monday morning he didn't look like he was going to make it through the day, but with a lot of TLC and vet care he was eating again today. (And I'm very glad to see him be "himself" again!)
Dream of a wake/visitation
I went to bed last night with an upset stomach and seemingly without energy, so I didn’t even think about making any dream recordings. Too bad, because the night was chock-full of them. Unfortunately, they all had an ominous overtone to them, including death-related dreams.
(Actually, saying that I “went to bed” is an overstatement. I spent most of the night sleeping on the living room floor on a couple of blankets.)
The person my dog thinks I am
Favorite recent bumper sticker:
"Lord, let me be the person my dog thinks I am."
Do we get echoes?
Do we get echoes off of other people and things? Do those echoes lead to dreams?
I sleep on a floor, I dream about a dog. I sleep in a girl's bed, and I dream of being a girl in school. I go to a Christmas party with my wife's family (my wife and I are separated) and I dream about her grandfather for two nights.
