Going to sleep here, waking up in Illinois
Even though I did nothing intentionally to generate any "special effects" last night, they came again in bunches. Three times I closed my eyes and tried to fall asleep, and as I "fell asleep" here, I woke up in a bed in Illinois where I grew up.
At this time (the following morning) I don't remember the first event, other than I recall it happening. Actually, it ended up with me being on a baseball field, and I recall my uniform number being 45, which I thought was weird. A few friends from the high school baseball days were there also.
A large animal grabbing my hand
I woke up this morning to a dream where I was in the office of a friend who owns a company in Lexington, KY. In retrospect, I suspect I was thinking of him because yesterday I stumbled across a picture of his brother who was killed in a plane crash in Lexington back in 2006.
A friend vibrating differently
I had an interesting encounter with a friend recently. I had just seen her last month, but when I saw her just now she looked significantly different. Not like a haircut or makeup, though, this was much bigger. The thought that came to mind as I spoke to her was that she was "vibrating at a different frequency", though I don't even know what that means.
While her physical exterior was the same, her behavior was almost completely different. She was either calmer, or perhaps weaker -- like she was sick -- but I couldn't really figure it out.
“How do I know if I should get married?”
I was recently asked by a friend about whether I thought she should get married to a particular person, or not. I didn’t have a chance to really think about my reply too much, but based on my own marriage, and the problems we encountered, I gave her my rules about whether she should get married to this particular person:
Brief flashes of being in college
Dream of being back in college, and a friend from high school is there (Darrel A.), and another woman from an old job (Angela G.) is also there. Angela has something on her face pierced, a chain coming out of her chin. My youngest sister is also there ... and there's a pencil, and I end up getting a wart off of the pencil. I'm in a dorm ...
Dreams of a good friend, the sea, and a spouse
My dreams the last few nights have been all over the place, and I haven't bothered to record most of them. But here's a quick example of a long dream from this morning.
(start of the dream)
I'm one of two men that lived a very long time ago. We lived on or near an island, and several times we traveled together in a wooden boat, and had at least two near-fatal accidents in the sea/ocean. As far as I can tell we were good friends, and had been for quite some time.
Dream of a hostage situation
From a dream tonight:
I walk out of a meeting room at work, and meet a friend named Bill in the hallway. He's standing there talking to someone I don't know, maybe a receptionist. "Bill", I say, "We have a hostage situation in there."
"I know", he says, "everyone knows."
Funny/weird thing is I haven't worked at this particular office in almost six months.
