Lifting a house like Yoda
While the universe continues to remind me that this physical body is mortal and I'm just living here on borrowed time, my lucid dreams of late have been entertaining. Two of the last three nights I've had lucid dreams with friends and family members, along with a couple of people I don't know.
Lucid dreams and OBEs
Just a quick note that I spent most of the time from midnight until 3am this morning in lucid dreams and the OBE state. I didn't make any notes about them during the night because there wasn't anything remarkable about them, but after many more dreams from 3am until I woke up this morning, I don't remember a lot of detail about them, other than being happy that they finally started up again.
A few notes from the night:
Lucid dreams and zombies
A quick note after a long period of lucid dreaming this morning: Some 'people' in lucid dreams act like nothing more than zombies, especially when a lucid dream first begins. The next time I have a lucid dream I'm going to see if I can mess with those people and see what happens, maybe run over and grab them and try to wake them up. I don't like zombies in my dreams, lol.
A short OBE, and OBE, lucid dreams, and Zen thoughts
On Friday I drove to a lodge about ninety miles north of my current apartment. I got there too early to check in, so I did what I planned to do: Changed my clothes, pulled my bicycle out of the back of the car, and road a 25-mile bike path.
When I got back from the ride I checked into the lodge, took a shower, and walked around for a while. Tired from a lack of sleep the last two nights, I had dinner, came back to the lodge, read a book for a while, then began to fall asleep.
Glowing light coming from the room next to me
I became conscious in a lucid dream, and I was working on a computer in my bedroom, with a MASH episode playing at the same time. In the hallway outside my room I saw a green glowing light. I ignored it at first, then after thinking it reminded me of something from my childhood, I decided to go check it out.
"Wrong eyes"
"Wrong eyes."
That's what I said to myself last night during a lucid dream. I had become lucid during a dream, made a decision to go flying, and after I zoomed over the tree tops things got dark. Thinking my dream eyes might be closed, I thought to myself, "Open your eyes", and when I did, I found myself staring at the bedroom ceiling. With that I thought, "Wrong eyes", closed my body's eyes, and went back to the dream.
Lucid dream of an astral event ... and a ghost
(I'm going to try to describe what just happened, but frankly, this was a little unusual, even for me, so I'll just see if I can report this experience as it happened.)
I gained consciousness during a dream state, and found myself laying in a bed. I didn't know where I was, but the bed was set up so that my head and upper torso were propped up, such as in a bed whose top half could be raised, or perhaps my upper body had some pillows propped underneath it.
Notes from another world (lucid dream?)
Unable to "wake up" today after a long night of work, I finally decided to take an afternoon nap. After a short nap I felt a little better, but decided to see if I could lay down again and see if I could stay on the borderline of sleep and wakefulness.
Well, that didn't work, but I did get "wake up" within the dream "somewhere else". As usual, I wake up within the dream, and there are things going on around me, and I have to figure out what's going on.
Faux OBE
Early this morning, just before 2am local time, I finally had something close to an OBE, my first real event since moving back here. However, I call it a "Faux OBE", because it was a mix of an OBE and a lucid dream. I was floating around the ceiling like it was an OBE, but everything else about it was more like a lucid dream.
OBE / lucid dream notes
Here's how this "Faux OBE" event happened:
Alternate universes
There are days when I have lucid dreams that I can easily believe there are alternate universes. Today is one of those days.
I've been sick lately, with the stomach flu or something like it, so I took off from work most of the day yesterday and again today. Around noon today I laid down, and very soon found myself in another world, a world I know, and actually feel comfortable in.
