Another dream of a song

Quick note: Another wonderful song in the dreams this morning. Sorry, I was too lazy to record it, but it was a really terrific pop/love song by a female artist I don't know. I was humming it during a bathroom break during the middle of the night, and assumed I'd remember it in the morning, but of course I didn't, lol.

Dreams of a song, being drilled in the head, and a dog named Luther

I was a little sick yesterday, and also felt very "ungrounded" as they would say at TMI, more 'there' than 'here'. If you've never felt ungrounded, common descriptions include feeling "out of it", inability to concentrate, a feeling that you can't wake up, and very likely a desire to vomit. I had all of those yesterday, so I figured last night would be pretty entertaining.

Another Faith Hill song; intentional sleep-walk

Quick note: I had another dream of a Faith Hill song this morning. I could have easily pulled four lines of the song back with me from the dream world, but I was too lazy, and decided to just enjoy the music and the dream.

One more note: I may try another attempt at intentional sleep-walking this weekend. (This is where my body is sleeping, but my mind is awake, and I can somehow control and move the body from the dream state.) If it seems as dangerous as the last attempt, I will abort the mission asap, and then never do this again.

Meditating again, and a recurring funeral dream

Over the last few days I've finally been getting back to meditating every night before going to sleep, and as far as dreams and lucid dreams go, this effort has been very helpful. Last night was another long night of very vibrant dreams. I won't say they were lucid, but I was able to make some decisions in the dreams, trying to explore the holodeck so to speak, and try to understand what was happening.

Just a few quick notes about the dreams:

Dream of a new Guns 'N Roses song

I woke up from a dream at 2:48am where I heard a new Guns N' Roses (GnR) song.

I was on a computer somewhere, listening to a Stevie Nicks tune, and when I pressed an image for another song of hers, this new GnR song with Axl Rose singing started playing. I knew this was a dream, so I listened to it for a little while, and tried to remember the intro music, which was terrific. But then when I became concerned that I couldn't remember all the lyrics, I woke up.

A Springsteen song, and a jumbled environment

Lots and lots of dreams last night, most notably hearing a Bruce Springsteen song, and even singing along in the dream, before I realized it was a dream.

Besides hearing that song perfectly, the most interesting part of the dream was that the scenery was a combination of my current apartment, and a townhouse I lived in back in Virginia in the late 1980s. Funnier yet was substituting a woman from my current life for a woman that lived next to me back then. It's funny how the dream brain mixes all these things up with no problems at all.

Bonnie Raitt lyrics, this life ... just slip away

I woke up in a dream this morning, heard someone I'm 98% sure was Bonnie Raitt singing, tried to remember the lyrics to the song she was singing, and then woke myself up. The only lyrics I could bring back were something like this:

this life,
this life,
(some words here i can't remember)
all just slip away

I don't know much about music, but I made an audio recording of this (me singing into my little recording device), so while my voice may not be very good, I think I got the tempo pretty close.

Dream of a song by Madonna

From a dream recording:

It’s a song, by Madonna, it goes (humming here, trying to recall the tune), and she said something about "Rock 'n roll is here to stay, sometimes you just have to move your feet ... dance, dance, to the beat."
