Let the lucid dreams begin
As I prepare for another surgery this coming Friday, I've been spending more time meditating and listening to TMI recordings, and early last night I had my first lucid dream in several months. The dream was so lucid, in fact, that during the dream I said to myself, "I don't need to check to see if I'm awake, of course I'm awake", lol. Okay, maybe I'm a little rusty.
Most importantly for me, the feeling was great, and it's wonderful to know that I can still do this when I try.
Lucid dream, Follow Me, family across a divide
In the closest thing I've had to an OBE in a while, later tonight I need to make a number of updates to my other websites, so I decided to take an afternoon nap. When I laid down, I decided to listen to one of the Monroe recordings I have, and I listened to it until I fell asleep.
Terrific orb pictures
I recently got back in touch with a friend of mine named Nancy who has her own website. All of her photographs are wonderful, but I especially like Nancy's pictures of orbs. Having seen one with my naked eyes back in 2006 at The Monroe Institute, I can 100% vouch that what I saw then is what Nancy shows in her photographs.
OBE Resources
Introduction
I don't own very many books on astral projection and out of body experiences (OBE's), mostly because they quickly get into areas I'm not personally interested in at this time, including theories about planes of existence, Akashic Records, saving souls, etc. (I'll be more than happy to work on saving souls later, when I'm convinced all of this is real.)
Unexpected but welcome vibrations
An unexpected yet welcome surprise last night. I was mentally tired after working at least the last seven days in a row, including a long day Saturday, so last night around 9:30pm I put on my headphones, sat in the recliner, and listened to some Monroe recordings, but mostly falling asleep.
Step 1 in having an out of body experience
Someone asked me the other day if there was anything they could do to have an out of body experience right away, and I told them the honest truth: I have no idea how to do that. But if you are looking to have an out of body experience in a reasonable amount of time, let’s say somewhere around one to three weeks, then yes, I think that’s possible.
Trying to knock books off a bookshelf
This may sound more crazy than any of my posts so far, but here’s what I’m thinking:
After a friend gave me a hard time the other night about some of the things I’ve said and written, I told him, “You know what, next time I have an OBE, I’m coming to see YOU”. I was joking, because I don’t think it’s a good idea to try to do that to anyone who isn’t a willing participant, but it instantly struck something in me.
Dreams of flying all night
I don’t want to write any details here, just a note that in all the dreams I can recall from the evening I was flying.
I want to note this for two reasons. First, I’ve been doing an unusual thing lately, sleeping on a reclining chair the first half of each evening, then sleeping on my bed during the second half. I started this because I usually listen to the Monroe recordings in the recliner, and a few nights ago I did this, then just decided to go to sleep after listening to the recording. Mostly, I think I just breath better on the recliner.
Making a bull rush for the front door
Just a little while ago I was laying on my recliner, listening to a series of Monroe Institute recordings (but mostly sleeping) when I suddenly hear the front door open. For some reason I go into panic mode and try to scream, but I can't, the best I can do is make some muffled sounds. Unable to make a sound, I decide to jump up out of the chair and make a bull rush at whoever is coming in.
Back in the U.S., and the stress of driving through Seattle
Having just driven back across the border, from Canada back into the U.S., all I can say is, wow, I can't believe how much stress people are under here, and that's just from driving on the expressways(!). Coming back into Washington and trying to drive through Seattle, I just wanted to pull over to the side of the road and curl up in a little ball. Yet other people live this way on a daily basis?! Wow. I know my blood pressure just rose at least 10-20 points.
